With humble beginnings in 1983, Maryborough Christian Academy has flourished into the sophisticated, market leading co-educational establishment proudly known as Riverside Christian College. I am delighted to be able to extend a warm welcome to our community of families, staff, industry partners and most importantly students.
Nearing 1800 students in 2023, the College has experienced rapid growth and facilities expansion. Our commitment to delivering a ‘Quality Christian Education’ spearheads all decisions to ensure we develop individual talents, interests, and abilities of our students underpinned by Christian Values.

Our History
Riverside Christian College began with less than 40 students in Maryborough, and now has students locally, throughout Queensland, interstate and overseas.
Riverside started in 1983 at the Maryborough Christian Outreach Centre as Maryborough Christian Academy. Under the leadership of Pastor David Blair and Principal Brendan Kelly, the Christian Outreach Centre ran the school from 1983 to 1992. Distance Education was begun as an experiment in 1991, and by May 2002 had an enrolment of 650 students.

‘2022 Education Provider of the Year’
Riverside Christian College has been named ‘2022 Fraser Coast Education Provider of the Year’ at the Fraser Coast Business and Tourism Awards, held in Hervey Bay.
Students Win 2022 Junior Theatre Festival National Award
Students from Riverside Christian College of Maryborough West won a group award for Excellence in Dancing at the 2022 Junior Theatre Festival Australia.
