Enrolment Information

Riverside Christian College takes pride in holding an excellent reputation and a high demand for enrolments with the benefit of your child seamlessly transitioning from Prep to Year 12 on one campus.

Riverside Christian College welcomes enrolments for all year levels and applications may be commenced at any time, online, via the button below. To accommodate the high enrolment demand, we encourage families to submit an enrolment application for their child/ren as early as possible.

Enrolling is an expression of interest only, and not a formal commitment. We appreciate that the decision to apply for enrolment is significant. At Riverside we make the enrolment process as easy as possible, please see details on our enrolment process below.

Pre-enrolment

Families wishing to tour the College before enrolling can do so by booking online via the ‘Book a Tour’ button or via the Book a Principal Tour tab beneath the Enrolments website menu.

Application Submission

Applications MUST be completed ONLINE and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete providing you have all the supporting documentation required.

The Enrolment Application cannot be completed until the following is provided:

  • Proof of Age (Birth Certificate or Passport).
  • Most recent report cards (at least 2 semesters), except for Prep enrolments.
  • Current immunisation schedule or statement.
  • Non-refundable Enrolment Application Fee ($120 per student).

If applicable, you must also provide:

  • Any appraisals or learning support records.
  • Copies of any current Court Orders or Parenting Agreements.
  • Any Medical Action Plans (e.g. Asthma or Anaphylaxis).

The online form can be saved at any stage and returned to at a later time if you need to gather more information.

Waiting Lists

There is a high demand for entry into Years 7, 8, 9 and 10. Should these year levels be full upon applying the applicant will be placed on a waitlist. The application will remain current and active until such time we can offer a confirmation of availability. The College has an open enrolment policy and draws its students from families who are willing to support its values, purpose and ethos as outlined in our Ethos Statement.

Waitlist Criteria

The Riverside Christian College policy is to offer enrolment to applicants on our waitlist when admissions become available, taking into consideration the below criteria (in no specific order);

  • Students whose parent or legal guardian is employed by the school.
  • Siblings of current students at the College for junior college enrolments only.
  • Children and young people who are subject to child protection orders that grant guardianship or custody to the Chief Executive Officer of the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women.
  • Past alumni.
  • Previous MOU with partnership education facility.
  • Church engagement.
  • Scholarship – a student who demonstrates a high level of expertise in a particular subject or field.
  • Current enrolled student wishing to transfer between Day School and Distance Education

Enrolment Interview

Once your application has been submitted you will be contacted by our Enrolments Officer to organise an interview.

INTERVIEW 

All applicants are required to attend an enrolment interview with either the Head of College or the Principal. Please note, an interview does not guarantee enrolment and parents should wait for formal notification before taking further steps.

INTERVIEW FOLLOW UP 

A follow up interview may be required in some cases however, this will be advised in your initial interview.

Confirmation & Commencement

A letter of confirmation will be sent via post or email, as soon as practicable after the interview has been undertaken. If a place is unavailable, your child will be placed on a wait list, unless you advise us otherwise.

Following confirmation of enrolment, students will be allocated their classes and parents/guardians will be advised by our Enrolments Officer of a commencement date and any other necessary information.
