The Library is open to all students from Prep to Year 12. One end catering for the Junior School and the other for Middle and Senior school.
Junior end of the library provides resources for borrowing, both fiction and non-fiction. There are chapter books for readers from year 2 to year 5 and Picture books for the younger grades. To encourage reading there is a reading pit which is used by all the classes.
There is also blocks, board games and craft items available that can be used before school, during both breaks and after school. As the library is open from 8.00am until 4.00pm before and after school are popular times. Bean bags and colourful seating provides an engaging environment for students and unique shelving like our ‘rocket-ship’ stand, circular tree like shelving, colourful boxes for the picture books and colourful furniture enhance the fun feel of the library.
Middle and Senior College students have access to plenty of space for studying including the use of café booths, stools, lounge chairs, bean bags, tables and chairs and is always popular at lunch times for chess games and chill-outs. The library provides a central printing hub for students as well with numerous copier printers available. We also provide Fiction books for Middle (Year 6 to Year 9) and Senior (Year 10 to Year 12) College students as well as a small selection of Non-Fiction resources. Charging stations are in the Middle/Senior portion of the library giving students all day access to charge their devices.
The library also houses ‘The Hub’. ‘The Hub’ is a central location for students with special needs to use as a study area or comfort zone during play time and class time and is supervised by Learning Support staff. Our Learning Support team are situated in the library making it easy for students to access the respective staff members.
Our friendly IT Support team are located in the library and on-hand to assist staff and students with device and software support.
