Riverside Plus – Service Delivery
- A range of senior QCAA approved subjects – including Applied, General, General (Extension) and Short Courses.
- Delivered digitally – multi-modal online materials, digital text books and interactives.
- Provided in a supported partnership with a student’s main learning provider.
- Opportunity for exposure to subjects aligned with future career aspirations.
- Two live online lessons per week with the subject teacher.
- Access to communicate with teaching staff via our Learning Management System; Microsoft Teams; emails and phone.
- General support for the student and the school-based supervisor from experienced and dedicated teachers, support staff and leaders.
- Recorded lessons which can be accessed outside of live lesson times.
- Incursions for practical subjects – with dates advised in advance.

What We Offer
The College, through its Riverside Plus program, offers Senior students (Year 11 and 12) from other schools the opportunity to engage in single subjects online that are unavailable at their existing education provider, while remaining enrolled in their school.
This program allows education providers to work in partnership with Riverside Christian College to deliver increased opportunities and quality learning content to students.
The Riverside Plus program is appropriate for students wanting to study a subject not offered at their current school or when they want to study a subject offered at their own school but are unable to due to practical or resourcing constraints such as timetabling conflicts or class size limits. The student can access the course online, participating as part of their timetable or accessing the recorded class out of school hours.
Students thrive when they are able to access subjects they are interested in. We want to provide students with every opportunity to be lifelong learners and prepare them for independent learning in tertiary and workforce training contexts.
